“Bee Worlds” in the Nature Information House Niederhaverbeck
The “Hans-Pforte-Haus” in Niederhaverbeck attracts visitors with an exhibition about bees…
In the Nature Information House in Niederhaverbeck, the modern exhibition “Bee Worlds” is dedicated to the fascination of bees:
- What is special about bees?
- What is special about heath beekeepers?
- What are the special features of wax and honey?
- With which devices do beekeepers work today, with which did they work in the past at the time of heath farming?
These and many other questions are answered by the exhibition of the VNP Stiftung Naturschutzpark, which was funded by the project “Experience Nature” of the Lower Saxony Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Climate Protection and the European Regional Development Fund.

Bee shop
In our small sales area we offer a range of small items and useful things around the bee. These include honey soaps, Lindesa hand cream or honey candies.
Depending on the season, we also offer different kinds of honey, which we are supplied with by beekeepers from the nature reserve.
Day trip with “Bienenstich”
Are you planning an outing to see the “Bee Worlds” with a group?
The neighboring “Landhaus Haverbeckhof” will gladly take care of catering. Lunch, snack or coffee with a piece of “Bienenstich” (“bee sting”) cake can be organized by prior arrangement.
Visit the Nature Information House with your school class
An informative visit to the “Hans-Pforte-Haus” in Niederhaverbeck is also worthwhile for school classes
The exhibition “Bee Worlds” is ideal for a class trip to the nature reserve Lueneburg Heath.
In addition to the Heide-ErlebnisZentrum in Undeloh, which focuses on the nature reserve and the landscape conservation measures of the VNP Stiftung Naturschutzpark, this exhibition offers children and young people many new impressions and tangible information on the special topic of beekeeping and the life of bees in the Lueneburg Heath.
For groups, we open outside our opening hours by appointment, too.
