Environmental education with the VNP Children’s Academy
Our offers for school classes and day-care groups are designed to spark interest in the environment. This happens best in direct contact with nature and out in the fresh air!
Through direct participation and “hands-on” activities, we encourage positive experiences of nature and thus teach natural history and cultural history as Education for sustainable development!
Introducing children to the exciting world of flora and fauna, agriculture and forestry, as well as environmental protection, getting them excited and creative – this is the basis for an interested understanding of our nature.
VNP Partner Schools
For some years now, the VNP and several schools in the immediate vicinity of the Lüneburger Heide nature reserve have decided to work together.
Within the framework of a cooperation agreement, joint events take place both at the school and at various extracurricular learning sites in the nature reserve. The events range from visits by individual classes to the shepherd, to school project weeks, to class trips to the VNP school farm.
The VNP also offers expert support for projects in biology and science lessons or offers as part of after-school care.
School farm Wilsede – a special kind of class trip
At the Hillmershof in Wilsede, children experience farming and nature protection. We offer a varied programme ranging from a one-day programme to a 5-day class trip.
